Pssssst...we know a secret. Well actually, more like a rumor. Maserati has registered the name 'Cinqueporte' in Italy, according to a report by AlVolante.it. The word on the street is, no pun intended, that Maserati may elect to use the name for its upcoming SUV based on the Kubang concept which was revealed at the Frankfurt motor show last month. Another possibility? The name could be used for another new model.

Maserati and Fendi: Two Iconic Luxury House's Team Up

From September 13th to the 25th The Frankfurt Motor Show will witness two of Italy's most iconic and recognizable luxury houses coming together in collaboration of the newest Maserati, the GranCabrio Fendi. With a commonly shared value of craftsmanship and a long line of similar traditions, Maserati and Fendi are proud to showcase their first jointed creation.

Silvia Fendi is the designer behind the materials and colors of the Maserati Grancabrio, a true masterpiece in both its technology and craftsmanship. The three-layered dark grey body color called Grigio Fiamma Fendi was specially mixed and combined with a gold finish giving the car its unique surface. The Fendi personality can be seen through the car with Selleria leather, a true signature of Fendi, has been used on the gear lever and the profiles of the floor mats. A silver oval plaque with the engraving of the Maserati trident, the Fendi logo and the 5 digits series number is located on the dashboard on the passenger side and on both sides of the black cloth retractable roof.

Powered by 4.7L V8 transmission and 20 inch Trident design alloy, this Maserati is a perfect blend of handmade artistic craftsmanship and shows to be on the cutting edge of automotive progression.
